HARDOX wear-resistant steel plates are classified according to hardness grade: HARDOX 400, HARDOX 450, HARDOX 500, HARDOX 550, HARDOX 600 and HARDOX HiTuf.
The HARDOX 400 and HARDOX 450 are versatile wear plates. Due to its high toughness, good bending and soldering properties, it can also be used as a load bearing in some applications. The typical hardness of HARDOX400 steel plate is 400HBW. Excellent weldability, impact strength and bending properties. HARDOX 550 is a wear-resistant steel plate with an average hardness of 550HBW. It has the same toughness as HARDOX 500 and is used in high wear applications. It is primarily intended for users and manufacturers of high manganese steel castings or wear resistant steel plates with a Brinell hardness of 500. When upgrading from HARDOX 500 steel to this product, the Brinell hardness is increased by 50 units, and the wear life is extended without losing the toughness of the steel plate.
The HARDOX 600 is the world's hardest wear-resistant steel plate with a hardness of 600 HBW. It is generally used in applications where wear is extremely severe and is mainly used to replace cast steel, chrome cast iron and case hardened metals. Despite its high hardness, we are able to machine, weld and cut it. Although HARDOX 600 has a very high hardness, it still has a relatively high impact toughness.
HARDOX HiTuf is a wear-resistant steel plate with extremely high toughness and its crack resistance is very good. HARDOX HiTuf has an average hardness of 350 HBW and is used primarily for critical components that require extremely high wear and crack resistance.
