Large Open Die Forgings for Heavy Equipment Composition: 42CrMo: C 0.38-0.45%, Si 0.17-0.37%, Mn 0.50-0.80%, Cr 0.90-1.20%, Mo 0.15-0.25%; Mn13: 11%-14% Mn, 1.0%-1.4% C; 35CrMo: 0.32-0.40% C, 0.80-1.10% Cr, 0.15-0.25% Mo; customized according to heavy equipment working conditions and load requirements.
Excellent high strength and toughness, tensile strength up to 800-1500MPa, able to withstand ultra-heavy loads and frequent impact in heavy equipment operation without deformation or fracture. Dense internal structure, open die forging process eliminates internal defects (porosity, shrinkage, inclusions) of raw materials, grain structure is refined and dense, improving overall mechanical properties. Superior wear resistance and corrosion resistance, after professional heat treatment and surface treatment, service life is extended by 3-5 times compared with ordinary castings. Large size customization, can produce super-large forgings (max diameter 2000mm, max length 12000mm) to match large-scale heavy equipment (mining crushers, metallurgical rolling mills, construction cranes). Good dimensional accuracy and stability, strict control of machining tolerance, perfect matching with heavy equipment installation and assembly requirements. Excellent fatigue resistance, able to adapt to long-term continuous operation of heavy equipment.
High production cost, large open die forging requires professional large-scale equipment and complex process, raw material consumption is large. Long production cycle, especially for super-large size forgings, heating, forging and heat treatment processes take more time. High requirements for processing technology and technical team, need experienced forging engineers to control the forging temperature and pressure.
