Define the shaft and housing interfaces
- Show the finished bore, outside diameter and overall length on the same drawing revision.
- Identify shoulders, grooves, cross-holes and chamfers, including their positions.
- Specify the required fits and surface finish at the shaft and housing interfaces.
State the lubrication arrangement
Describe how the assembly is lubricated and provide the available operating information. Do not treat different brass and bronze grades as interchangeable, or assume that an unspecified sleeve is self-lubricating.
