Base Steel (Q235/16Mn): C ≤0.22%, Mn 0.30-1.60%, Si ≤0.35%; Chromium Carbide Composite Layer: Chromium content 25%-40%, Carbon content 3%-6%, Chromium Carbide (Cr₃C₂/Cr₇C₃) hard phase ≥60%, with trace Mo, Ni elements for reinforcement, metallurgically bonded with base steel.
Excellent wear resistance, the chromium carbide hard phase has a hardness of HRC 65-75, which is 5-8 times more wear-resistant than ordinary steel plates and 2-3 times more than high manganese steel plates. Strong adhesion, the composite layer and base steel are metallurgically bonded, bonding strength ≥350MPa, no peeling or cracking under high impact. Balanced toughness and hardness, the base steel provides excellent toughness (impact energy ≥40J/cm²) to resist impact, while the composite layer ensures super wear resistance. Customizable composite layer thickness (3-20mm) to adapt to different wear intensity requirements. Good corrosion resistance, suitable for wet and mild corrosive working environments (such as wet ore, chemical raw materials).
The composite layer has poor machinability, requiring special diamond tools for drilling and cutting. Higher production cost than ordinary wear plates due to complex composite welding process. Not suitable for long-term high-temperature environments (above 600℃), as chromium carbide will decompose and reduce wear resistance.
Medium and high abrasive wear conditions, such as conveyor chutes, hoppers, silos in mining and cement industries; crusher liners, impact plates, jaw plates; bulk material handling equipment (coal, ore, limestone); wear parts of construction machinery and port equipment.
